A 2-minute Chocolate Mug Cake For Lazy Cooks

Hey guys, this is probably the first time I’m writing about cake recipes and it’s kind of weird, coming from a person that is trying her best to have a healthier lifestyle and run away from sweets. But, oh well,  since today I feel like spoiling myself a little bit I want to share with you this incredible Chocolate Mug Cake recipe that I discovered a few months ago.

I have to admit I’m a pretty lazy person when it comes to cooking ( the student inside me will never go away, not even in a hundred years) so i’m always looking for quick answers around the internet on how to cook great food in the easiest way possible. If you’re like me, today you will be amazed my friend.

Let me tell you the story of how I found this incredible life saver. One day me and my boyfriend were watching a late night movie and since we didn’t have snacks around the house, we started roaming around Youtube tutorials to find a cool, lazy and delicious cake recipe to stop our cravings (because that’s what you do when you can’t find a solution to your problems). And let me tell you, it’s amazingly easy and was totally worth the dirty mugs washing at 1 am.

Although we watched several tutorials we didn’t have all the ingredients at home, but it still worked somehow.

This is what you’ll need if you’re looking for a simple snack.

A Microwave
2 tbsp of Flour
1 tbsp of Sugar
2 tbsp of Cocoa Powder
5-6 tbsp of Milk
1 tbsp of Vegetable Oil
A pinch of Salt
2 minutes of your precious time

Most importantly you need to make sure you have a microwave somewhere in your house, otherwise it won’t be a 2 minute cake. Secondly, you will need a mug, make sure to choose a cute one if you’re a true Instagramer (unlike me that only has boring grandma designs).

After you get your mug and microwave ready, the first thing you need to do is mixing 2 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of sugar into the mug. Blend these ingredients together pretty roughly to create the perfect base for the cake, and make sure you don’t have any flour resting in the bottom.

The next step is to add 1 tablespoon of Vegetable Oil, a pinch of salt and 5-6 tablespoons of any milk of your choice. Blend the ingredients once again until you create a creamy, soft paste. You can add a topping if you like, in my case, I smashed two Oreo cookies, added into the dough and did a few more turns with the spoon (not in this video but yeah it works if you’d like to try).

Last but not least, you put it into your microwave in maximum power, and depending on the watts, you let it cook for 1 minute. Just stay watchful, if you like your cakes with a bit more moist try taking it off a little earlier. Mine for example in 50 seconds was done.
